Description
Outcome statistics for the whole UDRP corpus (~118,000 WIPO and Forum decisions, 1999 to date): how many cases ended each way, and the complainant win rate, overall, per provider and per decision year. Use this for any AGGREGATE question — “what percentage of UDRP complaints succeed”, “how often are complaints denied”, “has the win rate changed”, “how many cases were decided in 2024”, “WIPO vs Forum”. For one party’s record (“how often does Microsoft win”) use datapulse_disputedb_lookup with complainant, which returns the same counts for that party’s cases.
Win rate (complainant_win_rate) = complainant wins (transfer + cancelled) ÷ decided cases (transfer + cancelled + denied + split decision). Terminated, withdrawn and case active are EXCLUDED: no panel ruled, and most ended in settlement. The rate is meaningful only with that definition; won and decided are given beside it. rate_pct is null when nothing in the slice was decided.
Outcomes: transfer, cancelled, denied, split decision, terminated, withdrawn, case active (pending). terminated is how WIPO records a case that ended without a decision; Forum records the same thing as withdrawn, so win rate compares the providers and those two counts do not.
by_year ascends; its last row has year: null and holds the undated decisions (~17,000, almost all terminated or withdrawn), so the year rows sum to total. The latest year is partial — last_decision_date says how far it runs. Coverage is WIPO and Forum only; other UDRP providers (CAC, ADNDRC, CIIDRC) are not in this corpus, so these are not figures for every provider.
The answer is always complete: one row per year, about 11 KB, with no paging.
